Business needs
  • SAEI planned since long time to react to external market pressure and heated competition in the regional MRO markets with new facility project being provisioned for launching in an aggressive expansion plans in 2012
  • To execute the privatization plans and react to the changing market demands, SAEI is in the process of overhauling its IT platforms. As part of the corporate IT diagnostics and master plan project which was conducted in 2006, indicted two main areas for improvement:
  • Critical applications are outdated  and no longer maintainable, core M&E and MRO functions need to be migrated to new platforms to allow for better support of key business processes
  • Build dedicated PMO office to ensure governance mechanisms are in place manage, monitor and control program and related projects and ensure successful delivery.
  • Acquire and implement State-of-the-art MRO Applications to ensure competitiveness and sustainability in the  future, covering  all strategic business functions.
  • Build   a  modern   Data Center   IT   Infrastructure   and  IT   Production   to  support   new applications and processes
The Solution
  • building dedicated PMO to manage Program implementation including developing governance approaches for managing risks, quality, project deliverable, issues, changes, scope, schedule and communications
  • Manage AMOS application implementation 
  • Manage the  complete  infrastructure  environments  which include  hardware,  system software and tools necessary to host and run the subject systems in accordance with the recommended  performance,  capacity, availability, and response  time as indicated   in the  hardware Sizing document provided by Swiss Aviation Software and further described in the details of the technical solution of this document and associated attachments.
  • Manage Data extraction, cleansing, and migration
